Why God of War Laufey Just Slipped to May 2027

God of War Laufey just lost three months.

It was set for February 16, and Santa Monica Studio now says May 20, 2027. Its post gave one reason. It wants time for the finishing touches.

Except Eurogamer and IGN point at February itself, already packed with Fable, Persona 4 Revival and Metro 2039.

Granted, the crowded month is the outlets' theory, not Sony's. We'd still call it smart, since a God of War without Kratos leading needs your full attention.
