South of Midnight's Director Would Have Cut Its Funding
Would South of Midnight's own director have funded it?
Asked if he'd have cut the money tap, director David Sears told MinnMax: "Yeah, probably." That's not the odd part. The game drew over a million players in three weeks, Game Pass included.
Xbox still let Compulsion Games go in July, one of five studios in its reset.
What it means for you: Probably not. Sears called the funding unsustainable, at least in hindsight. With Xbox seemingly betting on Halo, Forza and Gears, we think games like this could get rarer on Game Pass. It's $24.49 on Steam.
