Ocarina of Time Remake Hits 96, Best of 2026 So Far

The best-reviewed game of 2026 so far first came out in 1998.

On Switch 2 you can hum songs into the mic and Link finally jumps. On November 4, the day before launch, Metacritic had it at 96. Only the N64 original has ever scored 99 there.

Except Nintendo Life docked it for one thing. There's no Master Quest.

The 2011 3DS version polished it and got a 94. This one rebuilt Hyrule but kept the dungeons, so you relearn the view, not the route.
