Modern Warfare 4's First DLC Puts a Real Marine in the Game
Modern Warfare 4's first DLC stars a real Marine.
He's Kyle Carpenter. On November 21, 2010, in Marjah, Afghanistan, he put himself in front of a grenade to help save fellow Marine Nick Eufrazio. He was unconscious for five weeks. In 2014, President Obama gave him the Medal of Honor.
The CODE Valor Pack is out now, and proceeds go to Activision's charity that helps veterans find jobs.
The takeaway: Charity packs are a Call of Duty launch tradition, so the format isn't new. But if you were buying a cosmetic anyway, this one backs veterans' careers. Easiest skin to justify all year.
