PULSE GAMINGThe Dark Ages: Id Software Teams Up With MachineGames
id Software lost half its studio, and Wolfenstein could gain.
Co-director Marty Stratton says id is working more closely with MachineGames than ever. That's not the odd part. Stratton kept mentioning technology, and the cuts hit id's Frankfurt engine team.
IGN's Ryan McCaffrey speculates they could co-develop the rumored Wolfenstein 3. Nothing's confirmed.
The takeaway: Fair enough, losing half a studio is nobody's good news. Still, we think pairing the teams behind Doom and Indiana Jones is the smartest move left. If Wolfenstein 3 is real, you could get it sooner.
