Did EA Really Abandon Need for Speed Most Wanted?

Why did EA stop making racers like Most Wanted?

It sold over 18 million copies, the series' best seller. Here's the twist. EA didn't drop it. Carbon followed in 2006, so if you loved Rockport, you got a follow-up a year later.

Even the live-action cutscenes with real actors came back for Carbon and Undercover.

The verdict: We think the premise is half wrong. EA built on Most Wanted twice, and the record doesn't say why it moved on later.
