Marvel's Wolverine Shrugs Off Mixed Reviews to Top US Sales

Marvel's Wolverine got mixed reviews, and it still outsold every other game in America in September.

It did that with only half a month on sale. Circana says it's Sony's biggest launch month in dollars since Helldivers 2. PS5 dollar sales jumped 43%, and units rose 22%. Xbox unit sales fell 27%, an all-time September low.

The context: In fairness, Helldivers 2 cost $40 and launched on PC too, while Wolverine is a $70 PS5 exclusive. Pricier consoles pad that 43%, too. But critics were lukewarm, and you bought it anyway.
